Two Hakuoki films are also coming out this year but there’s not much info on it yet. There are also a couple of good ones that I didn’t include because it’s either I haven’t seen the series or the previous movie/s for it yet or they’re just not my taste.

For synopsis, trailers, pvs and more information on each movie just check the ANN (animenewsnetwork) & MAL (myanimelist) links. :)

* Makoto Shinkai
** Studio Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki
*** Studio Ghibli / Isao Takahata

I honestly have no time to catch up on shows or even start on one. But you know what? I’m going to make time for Chihayafuru 2 because it is the best show on the planet.
And there’s no way i’m missing Taichi Tuesdays Fridays. The dreamy poster boy for friend zone with hair so shiny he probably washes and blow dries more than half the entire female population.
I’M ROOTING FOR YOU AND NOT FOUR EYES, OKAY.

Hiro Mizushima to Star in Live-Action Black Butler Film
NANA’s Otani, Tiger & Bunny’s Satou to co-direct 2013 film set 150 years after manga

Actor Hiro Mizushima will star in the live-action film adaptation of Yana Toboso’s popular manga Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) this year. Kentaro Otani (NANA) and Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny, Karas, Asura) are co-directing the film. This will be the first time since Beck three years ago that Mizushima is starring in a film.
Mizushima will play Sebastian Michaelis, a demonic butler with impeccable knowledge, manners, talent with materials, martial arts, and more. The all-original story of the film is set 130 years after the manga.
The manga debuted in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2006 and has 14 million copies in print, including those published in 42 countries and regions. It already inspired a television anime series in 2008.
The film will begin shooting in April.

Also from TokyographBuzz: "The producer for "Kuroshitsuji" is Matsuhashi Shinzou, who also produced "Rurouni Kenshin", "Paradise Kiss" and the "MW" series." This is a great choice for a comeback project. I’m not at all surprised he didn’t say no to this because all things considered, the people behind it or the staff alone is pretty solid.
