FOR THE LOVE OF COVER PART I
FOR THE LOVE OF COVER PART II
FOR THE LOVE OF COVER PART III
FOR THE LOVE OF COVER PART IVFTLOC is back!! I just realized it’s been over a year since I last posted one. This one is a very quirky mix, random choices of new and old. Starts out with Carly Rae Jepsen’s cover of The Killers’ Runaway which I think is a great great song that Carly actually did quite justice. The second one is probably one of the best covers I’ve heard in a while, not in a sense that it’s amazing, but an indie folk group doing one of the most iconic Hip Hop/R&B songs in the early 2000s: genius. That’s why it’s the 2nd song in the mix.
We’ve got our classic covers like Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide, some Madonna and Radiohead covers that always seem to hit the spot no matter whoever sings it. Brooklyn-based group Lips also did a nice cover of Frank Ocean’s Super Rich Kids that quite sets this cover apart from the others. I’ll just leave you to listen to them. Plus the last gem from one of the most talented girl groups in the UK Little Mix with their superb take on Fun.’s We Are Young. Enjoy!
Once again, thanking cinzinc for the album art cover like all the previous ones. That’s actually him on the photo now!
